3. Injection: The melted plastic material, now in a molten state, is injected into the mold cavity under high pressure. An injection molding machine is used for this process. The machine consists of a hopper, an injection unit with a screw or plunger, and a clamping unit.


4. Cooling and Solidification: Once the molten plastic fills the mold cavity, it is allowed to cool and solidify. Cooling can be accelerated by circulating water or oil through channels within the mold. The cooling time depends on the part's size, thickness, and the characteristics of the plastic material.


5. Ejection: After the plastic part has solidified and reached the appropriate temperature, the mold opens, and the part is ejected. Ejection can be done using ejector pins or plates that push the part out of the mold.


6. Repeat Process: The injection molding process is highly efficient and can be repeated continuously to produce multiple identical parts. The cycle time, including injection, cooling, and ejection, depends on the complexity of the part and the machine capabilities.


7. Finishing and Post-Processing: Once the parts are ejected, they may undergo additional processes such as trimming, deburring, surface finishing, or assembly to achieve the final desired product.
